Upcoming Events
Café Medina is excited to kick off the New Year by playing host to two exclusive evening events — our Robbie Burns Whisky Supper during Dine Out Vancouver on Jan. 25, and our Icons & Heroes dinner as part of the Vancouver International Wine Festival on Feb. 25.
Robbie Burns Whisky Supper
On Sunday, Jan. 25, join Café Medina owner Robbie Kane and Executive Chef Jonathan Chovancek as we celebrate the birth of Scotland’s favourite son and address the haggis by hosting an exclusive, three-course, family-style Robbie Burns Day dinner as a part of Dine Out Vancouver. Chef Jonathan’s canapés and West Coast-by-way-of-Scotland courses will be paired with a number of cocktails featuring Scottish whisky sponsors Highland Park, Macallan, Famous Grouse and Laphroaig lovingly prepared by “bonnie lass” and award-winning mixologist Lauren Mote. Tickets to the dinner, which takes place from 7 to 10 p.m., are limited and cost $78 each plus tax and gratuity.
Icons & Heroes Dinner
On Wednesday, Feb. 25, we’ll open our doors for an Icons & Heroes dinner spotlighting Australia’s McGuigan Wines as part of the Vancouver International Wine Festival. Come to Café Medina and celebrate with one of the world’s most awarded Australian wineries as Chef Jonathan prepares a mouthwatering, perfectly paired, four-course menu and Neil McGuigan, McGuigan’s chief winemaker, leads guests through a wine journey Down Under. Tickets for the dinner, which goes from 6:30 to 10 p.m., are limited and cost $120 each.
