Celebrate International Waffle Day with Café Medina and Mealshare  

On Wednesday, March 25, Café Medina is set to mark International Waffle Day by partnering with local charity Mission Possible through the Mealshare program to provide meals to those in need in local Vancouver communities.  

For every one of our signature Belgian Liège waffles ordered on March 25, Café Medina will feed one person through Mealshare, a non-profit initiative that partners with local restaurants to provide meals to the less fortunate. Whether enjoyed in the restaurant or packaged to-go, our trademark waffles ($3.15) may be accented with 11 different toppings ranging from savoury selections like salted caramel and peach & bourbon butterscotch to sweet-tooth specialties such as milk chocolate lavender, white chocolate pistachio rosewater and quince cranberry compote for $1 each, as well Earnest Cardamom Ice Cream for dine-in guests for $2.  

Beyond the International Waffle Day initiative, Café Medina is already a supporter of the Mealshare program. With the order of each “Le Peameal” bacon and egg sandwich served every day at the restaurant, a meal is donated back to those in need. Since first partnering with Mealshare last summer, we've provided 2,873 meals to date throughout the local community.

The contest runs between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 25, with the winner announced by 8 p.m. that evening.
